What is ‘Five Eyes’ — intelligence alliance that may induct India, 3 other countries as new members

The United States of America seeks to invite South Korea to join the 'Five Eyes' intelligence-sharing alliance, according to a report in The Korea Herald. The news comes days after a US House of Representatives panel had approved the National Defense Authorisation bill for fiscal year 2022, primarily meant to officially authorise funding for American military activities & the armed forces for the next fiscal year.
