Lawsuit Says Republican Candidate Offered Employees Raises In Exchange For Sexual Acts

Lawsuit Says Republican Candidate Offered Employees Raises In Exchange For Sexual Acts

A failed Republican House candidate (and current attorney) is being sued by a former employee for allegedly groping her and offering money to female staffers in exchange for them performing sexual acts on him. This story only gets worse and worse from there, but it is very telling that an individual like this felt right at home in the Republican Party. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins discusses this.

A former Republican congressional candidate, a 74 year old lawyer from South Carolina has been accused by his former secretary of not just sexual harassment, but also of getting female employees or baiting them along with promises of exorbitant raises. If they would agree to have sex with him. This former secretary of course, has filed a lawsuit against the individual man, by the name of Billy Oswald, who ate separate times has run for Congress in the state of South Carolina. And most recently in 2018, he ran for a South Carolina seat in the us house of representatives. He lost every single one of those races. So he is a nine time losing Republican candidate, but a former Republican candidate. Nonetheless. So let me read, uh, these claims. This is from Sharon Ross. Again, the former secretary. This is what she claims in her lawsuit. Ross's lawsuit alleges Oswald groped. Her breasts placed his hand near her crotch and made inappropriate gestures. Oswald also brought prostitutes, some who were allegedly his legal clients or rental tenants into his back office and conference room to perform sexual acts on him. According to the lawsuit, employees could overhear moans and other noises of their Renez VU from adjacent offices, including during normal work hours. The lawsuit stated Ross also claimed that her former boss took female employees out to lunch and then allegedly assured them they could land raises of between 10,000 and $15,000 for providing sexual services.

Oh, and uh, the reason that Sharon Ross ended up filing this lawsuit, what she said was really the last straw for her after all of these other horrible things I've read. You said the last straw was two years ago when she asked for a raise and she alleges that Oswald told her quote, you haven't earned a raise. You don't deserve it. The only thing you're good for is laying on your back. So basically saying the only thing you're good for is providing sexual relief. This man, if of course, all these allegations are true is just even beyond piggish behavior.

But the thing that gets me is with all this piggish behavior done out in the open, right? It's not like he's trying to hide it. He's bringing people into his conference room to have loud sex with them during office hours. Okay. These aren't secret Ron Davids. He's having up at the office at midnight. He's doing it during the day and he's making sure everybody basically knows that he's doing it openly telling these women allegedly have sex with me and I'll give you $10,000 in raise. But this man nine separate times, even with this behavior said, you know what? I now want to be a Republican politician. I think I fit right in with the Republican party. That's that's who I am. That's what I am. So why not have me be a Republican politician? The fact that he felt at home in the Republican party with behavior like this, that to me is the story that shows us what the Republican party has become, where behavior like this is not only embraced, but it's actually welcomed, right? We're not just okay with it. We welcome you into the party. Now we did it with Donald Trump. So why not do it with little Billy Oswald here? Well, luckily the voters in South Carolina didn't see it that way of, like I said, he lost nine different elections as a Republican, but that doesn't excuse his behavior. And I hope that this lawsuit, uh, from Sharon Ross is in fact successful and that he has to pay through the nose for everything that he has done over the years.
