The next morning, the head of the show's construction crew will visit the tribes and judge their bathrooms. The tribe with the best bathroom wins.
Reward: The Survivor production team would build a lavish shelter for the winning tribe.

(voting against Kim) Kim, you're a good girl, you're just not putting much effort into the tribe lately. Sorry.

Final Words

I had a lot of fun playing Survivor. I wish it had lasted quite a bit longer, but, unfortunately, I guess tonight was my night to go. I hope the girls really stick up for themselves, because Lord knows, the guys have proven that they're nothing special on our tribe, and I really hope that, in the end, somebody from Ulong wins, and not somebody from Koror.

Trivia
This episode marks the last time that Tom Westman performed at a tribal Immunity Challenge this season.
Excluding the combined Reward/Immunity Challenge in "This Has Never Happened Before!", this episode marks the first time in which Koror has won a Reward Challenge.

Better Homes and Island Living (also known as Build a Better Bathroom) is a recurring challenge of Survivor.

Rules
Prior to the challenge, each tribe receives a box containing supplies from Home Depot. Using the supplies provided, each tribe has 24 hours to build a home or a bathroom at their camp. Once the 24 hours are up, a judge will come to each camp and rate the homes or bathrooms on size, strength, and creativity. The tribe with the highest score from the judge would win.

History
In Survivor: All-Stars, Chapera elected Rob M. as their leader as he had experience with construction. Meanwhile, at Saboga, Rupert took the leadership role and came up with the idea of a log cabin. However, things got tense as Jerri disagreed with his design. Mogo Mogo decided to build a treehouse. Colby and Lex worked on Mogo Mogo's home, while Jenna M. and Shii Ann suggested creative touches. However, Colby and Lex weren't interested in the women's ideas, causing a rift between the men and women of the tribe. The next day, Jeff Probst showed up at each camp with Rob, a licensed contractor, to judge the homes. The judge inspected all three homes and decided that Chapera's home was the winner, with Mogo Mogo's being second.

In Survivor: Palau, the tribes were instructed to elect a leader to build a bathroom. Koror chose Ian to be the leader of the project, and Ulong chose steelworker James. When both projects were judged by Probst and Survivor Production Designer Jesse, it was Koror who won a deluxe shelter.

Trivia
This challenge has only been used for tribal reward.
This is the second recurring challenge that uses an outside party. The first was SOS Signal.
All winning tribes had one female castaway that quit.
Both times the challenge was used, the highest placing tribe had the finalists and the fifth placer.
The tribes that lost this challenge would later be dissolved.
