TODAY'S GOSPEL: Luke 14:25-33
The Gospel this Sunday reminds us to assess the cost of discipleship. The demand for radical detachment is not something literal, but is a call to love God above everything else and to allow that love for God to be the center of our lives. Everything else then flows from that love. The following of Christ always requires the carrying of our own Cross so today, let us ask for the grace to be able to follow Him with all our heart.
Reflect on this as we celebrate the Kapamilya Sunday Mass today, September 4, 2022, with Father Tito Caluag.
