Jonathan Kuminga of the Golden State Warriors has seemingly found his way into the NBA headlines over the last couple of weeks, but for all the wrong reasons. Seeming to have the most potential out of the entire Warriors young core of himself, Moses Moody & James Wiseman, there is still clearly a ton of improvement to see from the 19 year old entering his 2nd NBA season.
But apparently, according to Stephen A Smith and others, Jonathan Kuminga hasn’t been putting in as much time to improve as the Golden State Warriors had hoped. This is merely speculation from the ESPN analyst that made national headlines, but is it true? Jonathan Kuminga, through both the 2022 NBA Summer League & recent FIBA 2022 basketball play for the Democratic Republic of Congo, has shown this seems to be false as he is already looking better than last year.
It’s clear that Kuminga, Moody, & Wiseman will all have very increased roles for GSW this year alongside Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Jordan Poole, Draymond Green, Kevon Looney, new acquisitions in Donte Divincenzo, JaMychal Green, etc. So if this improvement can transition into the 2023 NBA season, it would be very reassuring for Warriors fans.
