Why France & India's Joint Military Drills Hold Greater Significance Post AUKUS

India and France concluded a joint military exercise at the Military School of Draguignan, France on Nov 26. The joint drills focused on “counter-terrorism operations in backdrop of semi-urban terrain under UN Mandate”. The Indian contingent had 37 soldiers from Gorkha Rifles along with three Officers, three Junior Commissioned Officers. The contingents have also been put through paces of combat conditioning and tactical training.
