The election of Eric Adams as mayor of New York is “surely part of the great American dream,” says Sky News host Alan Jones.

Former police officer Eric Adams will be the next mayor of New York City after the Democrat defeated Curtis Sliwa.

“Now what he will make of this office, I have no idea,” Mr Jones said.

“He faces, of course, a stack of problems, eight million people, significant inequalities in wealth, an education system that is a mess.”
