Clubs, pubs 'have got no idea how they’re supposed to police' vaccine mandates in Qld

KAP Leader Robbie Katter says come December 17 when Queensland’s borders are expected to reopen to hotspot areas, clubs and pubs “have got no idea how they’re supposed to police” vaccine mandates.

Once Queensland reaches 80 per cent double dose, those who are unvaccinated will not be permitted to enter non-essential places like clubs, pubs, cinemas, festivals, and stadiums.

“It’s particularly relevant for regional areas that I represent, you’ve got remote pubs, clubs, whatever ... most of them won’t have the staff to man their service industry establishments,” Mr Katter told Sky News host Chris Kenny.

“They’ve got nothing from the government on how to roll that out at this point and you know, it’s just a one size fits all.

“Very immature response and doesn’t surprise me that it comes like that but very frustrating and it could be nothing less than chaotic on the busiest day of the year for most pubs and clubs.”
