Cardinals' Jonathan Ward Packers' Kylin Hill carted off field after

GLENDALE, Ariz. — A collision on a third-quarter kickoff left two players seriously injured and both were carted off. Jonathan Ward of the Arizona Cardinals tackled Green Bay Packers return man Kylin Hill as Hill brought the ball out of the end zone with just under six minutes left in the third quarter. But both players went down in a heap upon contact. Medical personnel from both teams rushed onto the field and tended to the players, and carts were summoned for each. Hill was eventually helped up and onto one cart and was sitting up as he rode off. But Ward, who initially lay motionless on the ground, remained down and was placed on a spine board before being lifted onto the cart, which transported him into the tunnel for further evaluation. Ward was being evaluated for a concussion and neck injury, but did have movement in his lower extremities. Hill was being evaluated for a knee injury.
