Political activist, Dante Saunders has suggested the removal of Former President Edgar Lungu’s immunity to ease corruption investigations on individuals in the former ruling party and its administration.
Mr. Saunders says failure to do so will hinder the anticipated progress in the fight against corruption, as corrupt individuals will obviously point the accusing finger at the former Head of State, as the supervising officer.
Mr. Saunders has since welcomed the introduction of first track courts to deal with corruption cases as announced by President Hakainde Hichilema during his maiden address to the National Assembly on Friday.
