PSA: Use a Jack When Adjusting Torsion Bars? First Gen Nissan Xterra Lift

I have a longer video detailing the process of adjusting the front suspension on the first gen Nissan Xterra. In that video, I directly adjust the front suspension with a breaker bar on the torsion bar bolt. Several comments pointed out that I did NOT use a jack under the front cross member to relieve some of the weight off the torsion bars. Is this something you need to do, and if so, why didn't I do that in my video?
