Myths About Traditional Publishing - Writing Advice

I am debunking some traditional publishing myths. There are so many online. As someone who has been traditionally published, I'm here to provide facts based on experience, not guesswork.

As recently as last week I saw a self publishing author, making up rules and stories about traditional publishing in an attempt to scare people off it and push them towards self publishing. From everything this person said it was apparent they had never been through the process directly and actually knew nothing about traditional publishing.
