Today we're reviewing updates regarding safety and recommendations about the COVID-19 vaccination in pregnancy. If you missed my last video on COVID-19 infection in pregnancy, you may not know that pregnant people are at significantly higher risk of pregnancy complications, ICU admission, and death when infected with COVID-19 and that the delta variant is proving even worse. Vaccination is safe and effective for drastically lowering the risk of getting COVID-19 and for reducing these risks even if you have a breakthrough infection.
