Broadway (and American music in general) contains lots of list songs, a genre pioneered (but not invented) by Cole Porter. This video looks at Porter's list songs in his musical comedy Anything Goes and gives examples of list songs in other Broadway shows.
There's also a challenge: what are the most well-known list songs by the Beach Boys, Billy Joel, and The Beatles.
