Total Employment Fell By 114 Million In 2020, To Worsen In Future

With covid-19 ravaging the entire globe, leaving death and crippled economies in its wake, reports indicate that total employment fell by 114million in 2020, pushing millions of people to poverty. This, the federation of Kenyan employers (FKE) says is expected to worsen if nothing is done to contain the spread of the contagion. And as Winnie Lubembe reports, the government has some tough balancing to do to avoid over-borrowing lest there will be no economy to revive.
