This guitar is unique in many ways: A 2 piece select alder body, a flat-lam rosewood fingerboard, and a maple 10/56 “V” neck by appointed by Carlos himself as a profile not common to this era of Stratocaster. It’s 12” radius makes it perfect for both classic and modern playing styles. The pickup set is also unique with one-of-a-kind ‘Josefina’ Fat ‘60s hand-wound single coil pickups that are wound differently than Fender Custom’s stock Fat ‘60s. Carlos oversaw their creation which yielded a “better balanced sound than typical Fat ‘60s, a bit overwound, more articulate, and more low end.”
